MYC Elections 2018
If you are a young person aged 11-18 who lives in Manchester, you can stand for election to become a Manchester Youth Council Hive Member.
Applications are now being accepted for our MYC Elections 2018!
Elections NOW OPEN - Closing Date 5pm Friday February 2nd.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Hive Members are the group at the centre of the wider Manchester Youth Council network.
- Their job is to act as the communicators for the young people of Manchester, to share opportunities and events for young people and to represent their views locally, regionally and nationally.
- They meet regularly to discuss campaigns to help improve the lives of young people in Manchester and speak to high level decision makers, to represent the views of young people at wider council meetings.
- They take part in training sessions to develop their skills.
All candidates must take part in a mandatory training session. The training sessions for potential Hive Members will be:
Training Sessions: Monday 18th February 1-3pm and 5-8pm
